Are Invisible Braces More Expensive?
Since invisible braces are less noticeable than metal braces, they are an attractive option for straightening your teeth. But, they do tend to be more expensive than traditional metal braces. This is because they are more work and use more materials at the orthodontist.
How Much Do Invisible Braces Cost?
There are a few different options for invisible braces. In order from most expensive to least expensive, here’s a look at the different types of invisible braces:
- Hidden Lingual Behind the teeth braces
- Invisalign – a series of clear and removable aligners
- Ceramic brackets – designed to blend in with the color of your teeth
The most invisible of the above choices tend to be Incognito braces, but it is far costlier compared to ceramic brackets or Invisalign. This is due to the complex nature of the treatment. Not all orthodontists offer lingual braces, as they require specialised training and knowledge.

How Invisible Braces Work
Hidden Invisible braces and Invisalign aligners work to straighten your teeth, just like traditional braces. You can also take aligners out when eating and drinking, as well as to brush and floss.

What About Ceramic Braces?
Ceramic braces also work the way traditional braces do, and they include brackets and wires. While they are much harder to see than metal braces, they are still visible. They are tooth-colored and the brand we use does not stain, like some types do. Ceramic braces are much less noticeable than metal and cost a little more than metal braces. Their visibility is not that different from Invisalign.
Which Is the Option for You?
It is up to both you and your orthodontist to decide on the best treatment for you case and your lifestyle. The average price of invisible braces tends to be a little higher than regular braces, but there are unique advantages to the treatment.
